Lymphatic Drainage for Arm Swelling in KL

Arm swelling is often related to lymph node surgery or treatment, and is managed as upper-limb lymphoedema. With assessment and clearance, gentle manual lymphatic drainage may support swelling management and comfort as part of a wider care plan. We coordinate with your medical team and never work against their advice.

When arm swelling needs a doctor first

Sudden one-sided arm swelling, a hot or red arm, pain, or signs of infection need medical review before any massage. After cancer surgery, arm swelling should always be guided by your oncology or lymphoedema team. We screen for these and refer where needed.

Gentle, guided home support

For suitable cases, we provide calm home-visit MLD that works with your compression sleeve and skin-care routine. The technique is light and specific, and we keep within the plan your specialists have set.

Before you book a home visit

A quick WhatsApp chat helps us check that a home visit is safe and suitable. We usually ask:

  • 1Which area are you located in (home, hotel or private residence)?
  • 2Where is the pain, stiffness or swelling, and how long has it been going on?
  • 3Was there an injury, surgery or medical diagnosis?
  • 4Any numbness, weakness, swelling, infection or severe pain?
  • 5Is there room for a portable treatment bed, and can you lie comfortably?
  • 6Have you seen a doctor or physiotherapist for this?

Frequently asked questions

Is arm swelling after breast cancer treatment lymphoedema?

It can be, and it should be assessed by your medical team. If it is diagnosed lymphoedema, MLD may support swelling management as part of your overall plan.

Will MLD make my arm completely normal again?

We avoid that promise. Lymphoedema is a long-term condition. MLD may support comfort and swelling management, but it is not a cure and results vary.

Do I keep wearing my compression sleeve?

Follow your medical team's advice. Compression is usually a core part of the plan, and MLD works alongside it rather than replacing it.
