Home Massage for Stroke Patients in KL

For stroke survivors who find travel difficult, a home visit makes supportive massage practical and calm. This page focuses on the home-care side: how we work safely around a stroke patient at home, how carers can be involved, and how the session fits around a physiotherapy-led recovery plan.

Why home care suits stroke recovery

Getting a stroke survivor in and out of a vehicle can be hard and tiring. A home visit removes that, lets the person stay in a familiar, safe space, and means a carer can be present throughout. We bring everything needed and adapt to the home, including bed-based or supported seated positions.

Working with caregivers

Caregivers know the person best. We listen to what helps and what hurts, show simple comfort techniques where appropriate, and keep everything within the limits the medical and physiotherapy team have set. The goal is comfort and reassurance, not to take over the rehabilitation programme.

Before you book a home visit

A quick WhatsApp chat helps us check that a home visit is safe and suitable. We usually ask:

  • 1Which area are you located in (home, hotel or private residence)?
  • 2Where is the pain, stiffness or swelling, and how long has it been going on?
  • 3Was there an injury, surgery or medical diagnosis?
  • 4Any numbness, weakness, swelling, infection or severe pain?
  • 5Is there room for a portable treatment bed, and can you lie comfortably?
  • 6Have you seen a doctor or physiotherapist for this?

Frequently asked questions

Can you work with a bedridden stroke patient?

Often yes, gently and with clearance. We can work in supported lying positions and keep sessions short and comfortable. We always check first that it is safe and appropriate.

Do you replace the physiotherapist visits?

No. Physiotherapy drives recovery of movement and function. Supportive massage is comfort care that sits alongside it, never instead of it.

What do you need from us before the first visit?

A brief summary of the stroke, current medical and physiotherapy advice, any clearance, and what the person finds comfortable. We talk this through on WhatsApp before booking.
