When to postpone
It is best to skip a massage if you have a fever, an infection, feel feverish, achy or fluish, or are generally unwell. The same goes if you have an upset stomach, are very dizzy, or have any new symptom you have not had checked. When your body is fighting something off, rest, fluids and time are what it needs, not a massage, and you will enjoy a session far more once you are well.
Why it matters
Resting when unwell helps you recover, and it also avoids spreading anything contagious to others, including us as we come into your home. For some illnesses, massage could even make you feel worse. Postponing is simply the sensible, considerate choice. A good service will never pressure you to keep an appointment when you are not well.
Just let us know
If you wake up feeling unwell on the day of a session, simply let us know and we will happily reschedule for when you are feeling better. There is no need to push through. And of course, if you have any serious or worrying symptoms, please seek medical advice rather than a massage. Looking after your health always comes first.
